Propelled chiefly by volunteers, Manna Cafe is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that strives to restore hope, dignity, self-reliance, community, and the love of God through Jesus Christ. We believe that it is God's will that ? The poor will eat and be [abundantly] satisfied? (Ps. 22:26)
Manna Cafe Ministries serves people in need in Clarksville/Montgomery County through food distribution, a soup kitchen on wheels, caseworkers, free clinics, clothing distribution, and other vital resources.
Manna Cafe Ministries began with a simple act of compassion: sharing a meal with those in need. What started in 2004 as a weekly outreach in Nashville grew into a full ministry when Kenny York and his wife Vicki brought food into a local homeless camp, planting the seeds of what would become Manna Cafe. Officially established in 2009, the organization expanded rapidly after relocating to Clarksville, Tennessee, where a flood in 2010 sparked a powerful response through disaster relief and hot meal distribution. Over the years, Manna Cafe has transformed from one meal a week into a thriving community lifeline, now offering multiple weekly meals and distributing millions of pounds of food each year to families facing food insecurity. Guided by the belief that every person deserves nourishment and dignity, Manna Cafe not only meets immediate needs but also supports lasting change through caring connections, intentional support, and unwavering service. Today, under the leadership of CEO Victoria York, Manna Cafe continues Kenny’s legacy by serving the community six to seven days a week, fueled by a devoted staff and countless volunteers.
