Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida is dedicated to creating life-changing wishes for children diagnosed with critical illnesses. A wish is more than a moment of joy; it can be a powerful turning point that restores hope, strengthens families, and helps children find the courage to face their medical journeys. Guided by the belief that a wish can inspire resilience and possibility, our chapter works tirelessly to deliver carefully planned experiences that have a lasting emotional and physical impact on the children we serve.

The Make-A-Wish journey began in 1980, inspired by the wish of Chris Greicius to become a police officer, and has since grown into a global movement granting hundreds of thousands of wishes worldwide. From the first official wish in 1981 to national recognition, international expansion, and continued research into the impact of wishes, Make-A-Wish has evolved while remaining rooted in compassion and community support. Today, Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida proudly carries this legacy forward, partnering with donors, volunteers, and medical professionals to ensure every eligible child has the chance to experience the power of a wish come true.
