Black Mountain K9 Search and Rescue is dedicated to bringing hope and assistance to families and communities in Fort Mohave, Arizona, and beyond. Our team of highly trained K9s and their devoted handlers work tirelessly to locate missing individuals, providing critical support to the public, law enforcement, and other search and rescue organizations. As a fully volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit, we offer these life-saving services at no cost, relying on the generosity and support of our community to continue our mission. Every search is a commitment, and every successful rescue is a reminder of the incredible bond between handler and dog.

Training for a K9 Search and Rescue team is a continuous journey. Each dog and handler pair works daily to maintain peak performance in obedience, agility, conditioning, and specialized search techniques. These K9s are family companions who live with their handlers, and all expenses for food, gear, veterinary care, seminars, and travel are handled personally by their devoted owners. Community support helps offset these costs and allows our teams to continue honing their skills and saving lives. You can often find Black Mountain K9 at local events, not only to raise awareness and support but to show that we are always ready to answer the call when our community needs us.
