Voices of Courage Child Advocacy Center is a nonprofit organization serving nine counties in Northwest Missouri, providing compassionate, child-centered services to children who have experienced abuse or trauma. Since 1993, the organization has utilized the nationally recognized Child Advocacy Center (CAC) Model, bringing together law enforcement, child protective services, medical professionals, and mental health providers to reduce trauma and ensure coordinated, effective responses that prioritize the best interests of the child.

Originally established as the Northwest Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center, the organization adopted the name Voices of Courage in 2018 to better reflect its mission of giving children a voice and a safe space to be heard, believed, and supported. Having served thousands of children and families over three decades, Voices of Courage continues its mission from its permanent home in St. Joseph, providing forensic interviews, mental health services, and public education to help create a safer, stronger community for children.
