Next Level Dental Studio Launches CEREC Same-Day Crowns in Henderson, Restoring Teeth in a Single Visit

HENDERSON, Nev. Next Level Dental Studio, the Henderson dental practice led by Dr. Gustavo Hernandez, today announced the launch of CEREC Same-Day Crowns, a single-visit restoration service now available to patients across the Las Vegas Valley. The technology, powered by CEREC's CAD/CAM system, allows the practice to scan, design, mill, and place a ceramic crown in one appointment, eliminating the temporary crowns and multi-week waits that have long defined the procedure.

How Same-Day Crowns Work at Next Level Dental Studio



CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) replaces messy physical impressions and outside lab work with a fully digital, in-office workflow. At Next Level Dental Studio, the process follows five steps during a single visit:



→ Evaluation. Dr. Hernandez examines the tooth and confirms that a crown is the right restoration.

→ Tooth preparation. Any decay or old filling material is removed, and the tooth is shaped to receive the new crown.

→ Digital scanning. A CEREC Primescan handheld scanner captures a precise 3D model of the prepared tooth and surrounding bite. No trays. No putty.

→ Design. Using CEREC's design software, Dr. Hernandez customizes the crown's shape, contacts, and bite to match the patient's natural tooth.

→ On-site milling and placement. The CEREC Primemill machine carves the crown from a solid block of high-strength ceramic while the patient relaxes with the practice's Comfort Menu. Once milled, Dr. Hernandez fits, adjusts, and bonds the crown in place. The patient leaves with a fully restored tooth.



The entire visit typically takes around two hours, replacing what would traditionally be two separate appointments spaced two to three weeks apart.



Why It Matters for Henderson Patients



For many patients, the traditional crown process is a barrier to care. A temporary crown can come loose, limit what a patient can eat, and cause sensitivity during the weeks between appointments. Who Same-Day Crowns Are For



CEREC Same-Day Crowns are appropriate for most patients who need a crown for structural or cosmetic reasons. That includes teeth with large fillings that are beginning to fail, teeth that are cracked or fractured, teeth that have had root canal treatment and need full coverage to prevent breakage, and teeth with significant decay where a standard filling would no longer hold. The procedure is also an option for patients replacing older metal or porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns with a more natural-looking ceramic restoration.



"The honest answer is that not every case is a same-day case," Dr. Hernandez said. "If there's underlying gum disease, an unaddressed infection, or a situation where we need to wait for healing, we're going to tell you. Patients get the full picture before we start. That's non-negotiable for me."



During the consultation, Dr. Hernandez reviews digital X-rays, discusses the cause of the damage, and walks patients through the treatment plan and estimated costs before any work begins. Most same-day crown appointments can be scheduled within one to two weeks of the consultation.

Dr. Hernandez was born and raised in Las Vegas and graduated from the UNLV School of Dental Medicine.
