Corvallis-OSU Piano International presents Clayton Stephenson in “concert with commentary” featuring Rhapsody in Blue (May 2)

Corvallis-OSU Piano International will present acclaimed American pianist Clayton Stephenson on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 7:30 PM at the LaSells Stewart Center in Corvallis.

American pianist Clayton Stephenson’s love for music is immediately apparent in his joyous charisma onstage, expressive power, and natural ease at the instrument.

A 2022 Gilmore Young Artist, Stephenson has been praised as “not just a remarkable virtuoso, but a poet, a dramatist and a master story-teller” (Gramophone).

This Special Event will be presented as a concert with commentary, with Stephenson offering personal insights and spoken introductions throughout the program.

His program includes Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, Albéniz’s Iberia, Book I, and American classics: Keith Jarrett’s transcription of Over the Rainbow and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
