Details:
It begins at 8:30 and should conclude around 9 am at the Monett Museum on Broadway.
Exhibits include:
1. History of the Native Americans and Trail of Tears in our area
2. Waldensian history
3. Frisco railroad
4. Monett sports that had state winners and/or state championship teams, etc: swim, wrestling, soccer, track and field, football, baseball, softball, golf, (former coaches, if you want to contact your state teams, please note that the classes attempted to recognize all these teams).
5. Famous Monett residents and contributors: Sharon Garrett, Jack Henry, M.E. Gillioz, Titanic Thompson, Logan McKee, Ginny Fuldner, Pearl Peters, Celia Tritton, Grace Camp, Dr. West, Etienne (Stephen) Courdin, and Jerry Hall
6. Drury, Crowder, Berean Monett mascots
7. Famous Monett teachers: Burl Fowler, Jerry Hudson, and Dr. Ralph Scott
8. A history of the Monett schools and their buildings
9. A dedication to the rich immigration history of our town: founded by immigrants, and continually welcoming them!
