The Holiday Blues Review & Auction, presented by the Oroville Area Chamber of Commerce, makes its return to the Gold Country Casino Showroom on Friday, Nov. 12. Come and enjoy live blues by Big Mo and The Full Moon Band, delicious food, wine and olive oil tasting and a huge silent auction.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door, and include admission, a delicious selection of appetizers and desserts, wine and olive oil tasting and a big dose of Big Mo and The Full Moon Band. “We put more of a focus on the music last year, and people had a great time. And we had a successful event,” said Chris Robbins, event coordinator for the Chamber. “We’re stepping it up again this year with Big Mo & The Full Moon Band.”

Marilyn Stringer with The Blues Blast Magazine praised the band’s performance at this year’s Fire on the Mountain Blues Festival. “One of the best dance and ‘big band’ soul and blues sets was Big MO and The Full Moon Band....They packed the building!”

Guests attending the Holiday Blues Review & Auction will be treated to an up close dose of Big Mo’s powerful blend of soul and blues, samples of locally produced wine and olive oil, and a special appetizer and dessert menu prepared by Gold Country Casino & Hotel. There will also be a no-host bar.

Gold Country Casino and Hotel is offering weekday rooms rates on the night of the event. Availability is limited, so call 538-4560 and make your reservation right away. If you're planning on having dinner at the Steakhouse, reservations are strongly recommended.

Holiday Blues Review & Auction is presented by the Oroville Area Chamber of Commerce and Gold Country Casino & Hotel, with all proceeds going to the Chamber to help promote the Oroville area and business community. As with all Chamber events, success is dependent on the support of our members and the community at large. Our goal is to secure at least 80 items for our silent auction, and donations have already started filling up the Chamber’s office. We encourage contributions that promote your business; however, art, gift items, gift certificates and gift baskets are also popular.
