To raise awareness of the growing problem with senior undernourishment and malnutrition, in-home care provider Comfort Keepers and leading area food distributor Foothill Unity Center, Inc., Monrovia, have teamed up to support a nationwide Serving Seniors. Nourishing Lives. initiative to benefit the Feeding America® food distribution network.

About 30 million older Americans live with chronic diseases that nutrition can effectively manage. Simple dietary changes can make a big difference for seniors. Recommended foods for donation include: peanut butter, low-sodium canned vegetables and soups and protein-rich meal substitutes. For more information on the local Serving Seniors.
