First Friday is almost here and children everywhere will be anxious to see Santa arrive in Downtown Oroville. The date is Friday, December 3rd at 4pm on the corner of Bird & Myers Streets. Watch for the red model A pickup! Santa will be visiting with kids in front of Gallery Interiors at 1954 Bird St. and welcomes photos so be sure to bring your camera.
The carriage rides will be back this year and you’ll need to get your ticket ahead of time at Betty Jean’s, 1920 Bird St. The cost is one nonperishable food item for the food drive or $2 per rider. Tickets are limited and will be available that day at 4:30pm.
Entertainment begins at 5pm in front of Houser’s Music at 1944 Bird St. The performers include Houser’s students, Oroville Community Choir, LDS singers, Fever! and more.
The Lighting of the Community Christmas Tree will be in front of the Municipal Auditorium at 1200 Myers St. beginning at 7pm. Santa will arrive by carriage and there will be singing with local groups including St. Thomas students and Fever! The evening concludes with the tree lighting!Links:
