The Contra Costa JCC is proud to present Dialogues 2010. Join us for a season filled with engaging, candid, and thought-provoking lectures and conversations. From jazz and Israeli cuisine to Jews in the U.S. military, you won’t want to miss any of these fascinating presentations.
Tuesday, January 26: Rabbi Harold Robinson
Rabbi Harold Robinson, Rear Admiral CHC USN Ret and Director, JWB Jewish Chaplains Council, will present Jews in the U.S. Military: It's Not Your Grandfather’s Armed Forces.
Thursday, February 11: Lillian Rubin, Ph.D.
Internationally recognized author, lecturer, social scientist, and author of Sixty on Up: The Truth About Aging in America, Lillian Rubin will discuss Does Age Count? The Truth About Aging in the 21st Century.
Tuesday, March 23: Linda Gradstein
The award-winning correspondent and NPR correspondent in Jerusalem for more than 20 years will discuss Covering Israel: A Jewish Journalist’s Prospective.
Tuesday, April 27: Janna Gur
Author and Israeli food personality, Ms. Gur will enlighten the audience with Tel Aviv: 100 Years of Culinary History.
Wednesday, May 26: Pete Yellin
World-renowned jazz saxophonist and educator will perform and share Jazzed Up! The Changing Face of Jazz.
The public is invited to enjoy this thought-provoking series that takes place at the Contra Costa JCC in Walnut Creek. All lectures begin at 7:30 pm. Opportunities to participate in exclusive receptions and conversations with the guest speakers are also available through various package options. Tickets for all five lectures are available as a packaged set for a reduced price. Individual lecture tickets are also available. Space is limited and programs often sell out, so patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
