A local service club, part of a global network of over 45,000 clubs dedicated to improving communities through service. The club actively engages in various projects to benefit Sierra Vista, Arizona. Key initiatives include leading the annual Buena High School Project Graduation, an all-night alcohol and drug-free celebration for graduates, which is in its 40th year and involves significant community fundraising and volunteer effort. The club also equipped the West End Boys and Girls Club with computers, games, and school supplies, and financed bathroom facilities at CANTER for special needs individuals in their equestrian therapy program.
Furthermore, Sierra Vista Sunrise Rotary spearheaded the creation of the Echoing Hope aquaponics garden, providing work experience for special needs adults and fresh vegetables for local elementary school lunches. They are also partnering with the City of Sierra Vista and Reep Goodness to establish a neighborhood food forest. The club supports local high school seniors through scholarships, funded primarily by their annual Rising Sun Run fundraiser, which has raised over $19,000 for vocational scholarships and youth leadership development.
