The law firm of Cook & Kelesis, Ltd., was established in August of 2005. However, the partners, George Kelesis and Marc Cook have been associated together in one form or another since the mid 80s. Mark Bailus and George Kelesis were associates together in the early 1980s with the law firm of Manos & Cherry until they both opened their own office in a shared suite in 1987. During this period of time Marc Cook clerked for George Kelesis. Thereafter, Mark Bailus joined his prior boss now, Supreme Court Justice Michael Cherry, as a partner in the law firm of Cherry & Bailus. In 1991 George Kelesis was a partner in the law firm of Gentile, Porter, & Kelesis. Marc Cook was an associate of Gentile, Porter, & Kelesis in 1992, and on January 1, 1993, the three (3) were again together with now Supreme Court Justice Michael Cherry, in the law firm of Cherry, Bailus & Kelesis. In 1997, George Kelesis became in-house corporate counsel and was soon joined by Mark Bailus.

During this time frame, they both still maintained an of-counsel status in the law firm of Cook & Kelesis until the law firm of Cook & Kelesis was formed in August of 2005.

George Kelesis has an LLM in tax law and has been practicing in Nevada in tax law, estate planning, as well as drafting agreements, litigating civil disputes, and handling a variety of white collar state and federal crimes throughout his career.
