The Corvallis Environmental Center (CEC) is a 501c3 that was founded in 1994 as a grassroots effort to take action on several environmental issues. Our mission is to educate, engage, and inspire people to create a healthy, sustainable community. The CEC fills an important niche in our communityeducating and assisting people in the areas of local food security, environmental education, and energy conservation. Every year we directly reach more than 10,000 people through the activities of core program areas.
Avery House Nature Center
The mission of the Avery House Nature Center (AHNC) is to provide environmentally based programs designed to help people of all ages discover their connection with nature, their place in the ecosystem, and their part in a sustainable community.
Edible Corvallis Initiative (ECI)
The ECI mobilizes Corvallis to make local, fresh, healthy produce available to all. Our programs educate the community about gardening, food, and food issues. The primary programs and activities of the ECI are:
