The National Automotive Parts Association (NAPA) was established in 1925 with the mission to improve the distribution of auto parts to serve the growing reliance on cars and trucks. NAPA stores and warehouses quickly became essential sources for parts. Genuine Parts Company, founded by Carlyle Fraser, gradually acquired other NAPA member companies, becoming the sole remaining member in 2012.

Today, the NAPA Network offers over 800,000 unique parts, distributed through more than 6,000 NAPA Auto Parts stores and over 18,000 NAPA Auto Care centers across the United States. NAPA Auto Parts serves automotive service professionals, do-it-yourselfers, and everyday drivers by providing quality parts, accessories, and supplies, including replacement parts, tools, equipment, oil, chemicals, and paint & body products, to ensure vehicles and garage equipment perform safely and efficiently. The brand is widely recognized for its quality parts, rapid availability, and knowledgeable staff.
