Focused on complex U.S. tax controversy and litigation matters, he represents individuals and business entities in disputes before the Internal Revenue Service, guiding clients through every stage of the tax process, including examination, appeals, and federal court litigation. He serves as of counsel to Todd Welty, P.C., and contributes to the tax litigation practice of MICHAEL B. ZIEGLER, P.C., L.L.O., with a practice grounded in precision, strategy, and technical tax knowledge.

Before focusing on tax litigation, he worked as an associate at an accounting firm in Omaha, Nebraska, where he developed experience in technical tax research as well as individual and entity tax return planning, preparation, and federal and state tax controversy. Michael B. Ziegler earned bachelor’s degrees in English and History from the University of Nebraska, followed by a dual graduate education at Creighton University, where he completed both a Juris Doctor at the School of Law and a Master of Business Administration at the Heider College of Business. He later earned his LL.M. from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, strengthening his specialization in tax law and litigation.
