Southwest Home Equity Assurance Program
Home

The Southwest Home Equity Assurance Program is a unique neighborhood stabilization initiative from the State of Illinois, designed to ensure property values for an extended period. Financed by a special levy on residential properties within its district, the program is governed by the State of Illinois. Its mission is to help Chicago homeowners protect and invest in their biggest asset: their home, contributing to the community's collective uplift.

This program is one of only three such offerings in Chicago, providing a significant incentive for the southwest area. The program covers 11 community areas, 9 wards, and 7 zip codes, including neighborhoods like Chicago Lawn/Marquette Manor, Gage Park, West Lawn, Clearing, Brighton Park, Archer Heights, Garfield Ridge, West Elsdon, and parts of Ashburn, McKinley Park, New City, and Scottsdale.
