J. Wayne Lawson has a background in acting both on stage and in front of a camera. He is an acting graduate of Pima Community College in Tucson. His experience includes radio and television announcer, interviewer with commercials and fundraising. Wayne also completed improv training at The Second City and studied in the Chuck Williams Master Acting Class.

Currently, Wayne proudly serves on the board of the Sky Islands Regional Partnership and is a commissioner for the City of Sierra Vista Tourism Commission. At Mescal Movie Set near Benson, he is the tour historian known as “John Wayne” Lawson. He is also active with Film Tucson.
