Founded in 1983, Habitat for Humanity of Kent County is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope throughout Grand Rapids and Kent County. The organization provides affordable homeownership solutions by constructing high-quality, energy-efficient homes that help revitalize local neighborhoods. Beyond home construction, Habitat Kent supports residents through comprehensive education and resources, including specialized homebuyer classes and financial education programs.
To help fund its vital mission, the organization operates the ReStore, a retail outlet where the community can shop for or donate discount home improvement materials, building supplies, and household furniture. Habitat Kent empowers individuals and strengthens the community through various engagement opportunities, welcoming support via volunteer work, corporate sponsorships, and monthly giving initiatives.
