The Invisible Enemy is a national advocacy organization dedicated to justice for the thousands of U.S. military personnel who served on the Nevada Test and Training Range and were exposed to toxic radiation and hazardous materials from decades of nuclear weapons testing. Many of these service members have suffered life-altering illnesses or have died as a result of their exposure. We are working closely with Congress to advance legislation that guarantees comprehensive, no-cost medical care and fair financial compensation for these veterans and their families. Our mission is rooted in accountability, transparency, and an unwavering commitment to those who risked their lives in service to our nation.
Our efforts are led by Sergeant David Crete, a veteran of the United States Air Force who served with distinction beginning in 1983. After graduating as Senior Red Rope, the highest-ranking student in his Security Police Academy class, he was selected for a four-year special assignment with the 4461st Security Police Squadron, providing operational security for the Air Force’s top-secret F-117A stealth aircraft at the highly classified Tonopah Test Range in Nevada. Following a severe injury and honorable discharge in 1989, Sgt. Crete has remained deeply involved in supporting fellow veterans and now leads the fight to ensure that those harmed by their service receive the care, recognition, and justice they deserve.
