The Rotary Club of Gunnison, established in 1922, is an active part of a global network of volunteer leaders dedicated to addressing humanitarian challenges locally and internationally. The club meets regularly on Wednesdays at Gunnison Bank & Trust, featuring guest presenters and organizing social events on fifth Wednesdays. Beyond local fellowship, the club engages in significant service projects. These include supporting the Music School for Children With Disabilities in Poland, which provides music education to students with various impairments, and contributing to initiatives like A Safe Haven in Chicago, which assists homeless individuals in rebuilding their lives.

The club also plays a role in global health efforts, notably the polio eradication campaign that has achieved major milestones like India's polio-free status. Furthermore, members participate in humanitarian aid missions, such as saving lives in Ghana by providing food and support to children and local communities. Locally, the club hosts events such as the Hal Yale Service Above Self Award Banquet, which honors community service, and the annual Gunnison Rotary Fishing Tournament, which supports its various service initiatives.
