Passion for baking and a love of connecting with people have always guided our journey. Starting in 2012 as a personal hobby, Alyssa Spears began experimenting with cake decorating while studying at Western Colorado University in the Gunnison Valley. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into a dream of sharing unique, delicious desserts with the local community, inspiring the founding of Cake Me Away in 2015.

Since then, the business has flourished, blending artistry and flavor into every creation. Alyssa’s formal training in Business Administration and a diploma in Pastry Arts from Escoffier School of Culinary Arts have helped expand offerings beyond cakes to include a variety of classic and decadent desserts. Today, Cake Me Away is proud to serve Gunnison, Crested Butte, and surrounding communities, turning celebrations big and small into memorable, sweet moments.
