Northwestern Federal Credit Union has proudly served its members for more than sixty years, built on a foundation of quality service, financial value, and a genuine commitment to people helping people. Chartered on October 24, 1950, the Credit Union began as I.A. of M. Local #1349, International Association of Machinists, before becoming Aro Employees Federal Credit Union in 1953 and adopting the name Northwestern Federal Credit Union in 2004. Throughout every chapter of its history, one principle has remained constant: you, the member, are at the heart of everything we do.

From lower loan rates and higher share dividends to no-fee accounts, our focus is always on delivering meaningful financial benefits and dependable personal service. The Credit Union was established by dedicated charter members, including Elaine Mavis, R.P. Gecowett, L.E. Clark, W.J. Wickerham, Marshall Killian, Leo D. Woolace, Ed A. Wyse, Milo L. Gorrell, Aonzo Zuber, and G.B. Dierks. Today, we continue to honor their vision by strengthening our community and empowering members to achieve lasting financial success.
