Constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), is situated in a beautiful, wooded valley alongside the meandering Turtle River. The park offers a wide array of year-round recreational activities, including camping, picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and sledding. Guests can explore over 13 miles of trails through forested hills and along the river, and anglers can enjoy fly fishing in the trout-stocked river.
The park also provides various rental facilities for events, such as the spacious Woodland Lodge, the Chalet/Warming House, and the picturesque CCC Memorial Shelter, suitable for weddings, family reunions, and group functions. Additionally, visitors can choose from Standard and Premium Woodland Cabins for overnight stays, offering amenities like air conditioning, heat, electricity, and full bathrooms, with Premium cabins also including kitchen facilities.
