Mat-Su Services for Children and Adults, Inc. (MSSCA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve active, meaningful lives through personalized support and community inclusion. Founded in 1985 as Mat-Su Children’s Services, MSSCA began with a small team providing home-based services through the Infant Learning Program for children with developmental disabilities or delays. Over the years, the agency expanded its mission to serve individuals of all ages, offering services such as supported employment, supported living, respite care, care coordination, and family support.
From humble beginnings serving 20 families with just two part-time staff members, MSSCA has grown to support over 1,800 individuals and families with a team of 275 staff. As a United Way of Mat-Su member agency, MSSCA continues to respond to the growing needs of the community, providing innovative, life-long support to those with developmental disabilities and their families. Guided by the principles of individual choice, family preservation, and community engagement, MSSCA remains committed to empowering Mat-Su residents to live fulfilling, independent lives.
