The Alaska State Fair is a local, self-sustaining, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in 1936 that celebrates Alaska’s culture, community, and agricultural heritage. Located in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley near the Chugach Mountains, the Fairgrounds host the annual Alaska State Fair each fall, offering a wide range of entertainment, educational exhibits, vendors, and family-friendly attractions that highlight the state’s uniqueness.

Beyond the annual Fair, the Alaska State Fair serves as a year-round community gathering place, providing event facilities for cultural, business, and social activities across Alaska. Through sound business practices, statewide outreach, and strategic partnerships, the organization supports its mission to educate, entertain, and foster a safe, dynamic environment for Alaskans to connect throughout the year.
