Alaska Raceway Park, located in Palmer, has been Alaska’s premier motorsports destination for over 60 years. Nestled near Pioneer Peak, the Knik River, and Knik Glacier, the facility offers a scenic backdrop for high-performance racing. Its 1/4-mile drag strip, established in 1964, has evolved through decades of improvements, including state-of-the-art timing systems, modern bleachers, and upgraded track surfaces, earning recognition from IHRA and NHRA for excellence and growth in motorsports.

Expanding the racing experience, the park also features Alaska’s only paved 1/3-mile oval track, sanctioned by NASCAR, bringing professional oval racing to the state. Under the continued ownership of Earl and Karen Lackey and their daughter Michelle, Alaska Raceway Park combines a rich history with modern facilities, offering thrilling events, fan engagement, and a welcoming environment for racers and spectators alike.
